Island Park Drive Canada Day Flag Update

July 2, 2025: We’re happy to share that on Canada Day, 132 Canadian flags proudly flew along Island Park Drive — a remarkable leap from just 16 at the start of our Canada Day, Fly a Flag Campaign.

While the previous record for the most Canadian flags displayed on a single street was held in Sudbury with 72 flags, we’re now waiting for the final official counts from the cities of Orillia and Grande Prairie to see if Island Park Drive has set the new record.

A big thank you to everyone on Island Park Drive for showing your pride in our street, our city, and our country. Your enthusiasm has been inspiring.

We’ll share the official results on July 21st once the final tallies are confirmed.
