There will be lane and ramp closures on Highway 417 next weekend for more work on several bridges.
Kiewit Dufferin Midtown Partnership says there will be several closures from approximately 9 p.m. Oct. 17 to approximately 5 a.m. Oct. 20

The left lane of Highway 417 eastbound will be closed from the O-Train overpass near Preston Street to Bronson Avenue for the full duration of the work, while the middle lane in that area will be closed nightly. The rightmost westbound lane will be closed between O’Connor Street and Bronson Avenue. The Parkdale eastbound on-ramp and the Rochester eastbound off-ramp will also be closed.
The closures will be in place to facilitate work on the Preston Street, Bronson Avenue, and Percy Street bridges on Highway 417, as well as for operational improvements from the O-Train bridges easterly to the Kent Street bridge and noise barrier replacements from Island Park Drive easterly to Kent Street, Kiewit Dufferin Midtown Partnership says.
Closures last weekend led to significant delays for drivers.
Work will include excavation and removals, concrete approach slabs, asphalt paving, line painting, and drainage improvements.
Drivers are encouraged to detour via Carling Avenue.
