Flowers for Food Fundraiser Supporting the Westboro Region Food Bank

The Flowers for Food fundraiser returns on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Westboro Legion, located at 389 Richmond Road.

The event supports the Westboro Region Food Bank and will feature a beautiful exhibit of ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. Visitors will also be invited to make their own bouquet to take home, attend a free flower arranging demonstration and enter for a chance to win handmade pottery.

Guests can also meet Isamu-san, a complete set of vintage samurai armour known as the Samurai Flower Warrior, who will be available for selfies.

The event is family-friendly and the venue is fully accessible. A suggested goodwill donation of $20 will go to the Westboro Region Food Bank.
