On December 3 2025, neighbours came together at Beyond the Pale in City Centre for the Island Park Community Association’s Community Christmas Party, a holiday fundraiser in support of the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB). The night was a chance to celebrate the season, connect as a community, and support youth-focused programs that help prevent homelessness and strengthen long-term stability for young people in Ottawa.
 

During a short welcome presentation, IPCA recognized Beyond the Pale as a true neighbourhood partner. Owners Al and Shane Clark are long-time Island Park Drive residents, and their connection to the community runs deep.

A big part of the evening’s fundraising came from donated items that were auctioned off, with proceeds supporting YSB:

• Cashmere Casa donated a beautiful cashmere sweater, generously provided by Dagii Janchiv Jamtz, owner of Cashmere Casa (1263 Wellington St W)

• Shoppers Drug Mart Westboro (Store #1396) donated two gift baskets, generously provided by Jordan Clark (410 Richmond Road)
